FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for audio processing, specifically for generating a description of a sound field. Modified sound field is calculated using spatial information, description of sound field and movement information indicating movement from reference location to another reference location. Description of the sound field of the first layer and description of the sound field of the second layer are received as description of the sound field. Sources are separated to describe the sound field of the first and second layers in order to extract sources of descriptions of the sound field of the first and second layers and data of the direction of arrival (DoA) for extracted sources. Modified DoA data relative to another location is calculated for each extracted source using DoA data and movement information. Extracted sources and the modified DoA data are processed to obtain a modified description of the sound field.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of sound field description processing.
