FIELD: hygiene.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes a method of optimising configuration of a mouthpiece for cleaning oral cavity in compliance with geometry of oral cavity of individual user (versions), and product obtained using said method (versions), relates to medicine, in particular, hygiene, and is intended for use in cleaning oral cavity. Method of optimising configuration of a mouthpiece for cleaning oral cavity in compliance with geometry of oral cavity of individual user, comprising steps of: scanning oral geometry or portions thereof of an individual user (26); and producing a rigid shell member of two portions for mouthpiece substantially matching oral geometry scan, an upper tray portion to receive teeth in upper jaw and a lower tray portion to receive teeth in lower jaw. Resulting shell is configured and/or trimmed so that an outer surface of shell does not extend more than 7 mm from buccal surface of at least back three teeth of user's jaw. Rear edge of shell does not come into contact with tissues to rear of rearmost teeth in user's mouth. Upper and lower edges of mouthpiece do not extend more than 2 mm into gum line of user, when mouthpiece is operatively positioned in user's mouth, and two tray portions of shell are angled relative to each other to match angle of user's jaws when mouthpiece is operatively positioned in user's mouth (40). Method includes adding bristles to the shell to produce cleaning of user's teeth in operation of mouthpiece appliance.

EFFECT: invention enables to adapt oral cleaning device to individual features of patient's oral cavity.
