FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, specifically to surgical instruments, and particularly to surgical incision and stapling instruments. Surgical stapling system comprises a staple cartridge channel. Staple cartridge channel comprises a bottom support surface, a first lateral support surface, a second lateral support surface and stample cartridge. Lower support surface comprises multiple grooves of staple support elements. First lateral support surface for cartridge extends from lower support surface and second lateral support surface for cartridge extends from lower surface. Staple cartridge is located with possibility of removal inside staple cartridge channel. Staple cartridge comprises compressed body and a plurality of staples, placed in staple cartridge housing. Compressible staple cartridge housing is located between first lateral support element of cartridge and second lateral support element of cartridge. Each staple is aligned with groove of staple support element. Compressible staple cartridge housing comprises bottom surface and surface in contact with tissue. Each staple has a base and deformable leg extending from base and ending with a tip. Bases of staples are located below lower surface and tips do not extend through surface in contact with tissue. Lower support surface is configured to support lower surface of compressible staple cartridge housing and grooves of staple support elements are configured to support staples.
EFFECT: use of invention provides optimum activation force.
