FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for measurement of coefficient of dynamic viscosity of fluid media with complex rheological properties depending on shear deformation speed, pressure and temperature. Disclosed method of measuring viscosity involves pumping a test medium through a channel with a torus shape under action of time-variable inertia forces and friction medium arising as a result of sudden stop of rotating around its axis of toroid, and determining motion parameters of medium, specifically tangential voltage and shear deformation rate on surface of channel. During inertial movement of medium, method includes measuring only moment of resulting force of friction at values of which at each moment of time value of tangential stresses, then effected motion equation solid medium is determined shift rate of deformation and strength.
EFFECT: high accuracy with minimum amount of measured parameters determination of viscosity of media with complex rheological characteristics simultaneously from shear deformation speed, pressure and temperature in a wide range of specified parameters.
