FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for determining position of first and second shafts relative to each other. Proposed device comprises first measurement module mounted on peripheral surface of first shaft and second measurement module mounted on peripheral surface of second shaft. At that, at least one of two measuring modules is equipped with means for generating at least one light beam, and at least one of two measuring modules is equipped with display devices for recording data on point of incidence of light beam at least one of indication surfaces. At that, at least one of two measuring modules is equipped with sensor taking into account angle of rotation of shafts, wherein based on sensor data turning angle corresponding position, angular velocity and angular acceleration of shafts are calculated. Besides, for each separate point of incidence of estimating quality of corresponding data based on predetermined criteria, wherein data fall point when calculating displacement of shaft not taken into account or are considered to lesser degree, if as result of evaluation of quality of said data is obtained value below threshold value.
