FIELD: gaseous products.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of processing biomass into gaseous products, in particular, to processing of hydrolytic lignin or cellulose in synthesis gas, and can be used in recycling renewable raw materials of vegetable origin, including woodworking. Method of processing biomass to synthetic gas consists in fact that biomass is mechanically mixed with catalyst, which is mixed oxide of empirical formula Mo1.0V0.37Te0.2Nb0.12O3 either catalyst system based on finely dispersed metal selected from group comprising Pt, Pd, Ni, Fe, deposited on oxide carrier, for example TiO2 or Fe3O4, capable to be heated to high temperatures under effect of microwave radiation at weight ratio of biomass : catalyst in range of 1-10:1 with subsequent heating obtained reaction mixture to temperature of 300-340°C under effect of microwave radiation power up to 10 W in stream of air or oxygen at volume rate of supply equal to 500-2,500 h-1. Biomass is hydrolysed lignin or cellulose.

EFFECT: technical result is simplification of method due to significant reduction of temperature and process without using additives of inert microwave-absorbing materials at low microwave power, high conversion of biomass with high output of high-quality synthesis gas with ratio H2/CO in range of 1,35-1,57.
