FIELD: fuel industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing high-calorific fuel gas from solid organic material and can be used in the power industry when generating heat and electric energy. Method for microwave processing of solid organic raw material into fuel gas includes mixing of raw material with a catalyst, loading into a microwave pyrolysis reactor, the reactor is purged with nitrogen and the mixture is heated by microwave radiation with frequency of 2,450 MHz. Catalyst used is either iron powder, or iron oxide powder, or a mixture of iron and iron oxide powders, which are added to solid organic raw material ground to fraction of less than 3 mm in amount of 5–10 wt.%. Obtained mixture is granulated into pellets at temperature of 20–230°C and pressure of 75–225 MPa, loaded into a microwave pyrolysis reactor and heated by microwave radiation to 550–700°C.
EFFECT: expansion of used raw material base and increase of combustion heat of fuel gas.
