FIELD: biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed are variants of a nucleic acid molecule that binds to SDF-1. Nucleic acid molecule comprises a first nucleotide fragment, a nucleotide sequence of central fragment and a second nucleotide, wherein said first and said second nucleotide fragments are sufficient to hybridise with each other feedback degree of complementarity, and upon hybridisation a double-stranded structure is formed. Invention also relates to use of said nucleic acid molecules for treatment and prevention, and diagnosis of diseases or disorders caused by an increased amount and/or activity of SDF-1.
EFFECT: invention enables to inhibit chemotaxis induced by SDF-1.
