SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for electrostatic application of coating on objects, for example, for lacquering of objects. In method for electrostatic application of coating on objects between a device for application of coating and object (50) to be coated, an electric field is generated. At least one corona electrode associated with coating application device is connected to ground potential. At least one counter electrode associated with object is connected at least periodically to a positive potential. Ground potential is applied to other units, which can be reached by lacquer particles. Also described is a device for electrostatic application of coating on objects, which includes a device for application of coating for coating material and an electric field generator, comprising a high-voltage source and configured to generate an electric field between device for application of coating and object to be coated. Electric field generator includes at least one corona electrode, associated with device for application of coating, and at least one counter electrode, associated with object. During operation of device at least one corona electrode is connected to ground potential. At least one counter electrode is at least periodically is connected to positive potential. Ground potential is applied to other units of device, which can be reached by lacquer particles.
EFFECT: technical result is simplification of control of deposition of coating particles on walls of painting chamber and other units, reduced idle time and higher efficiency.
