FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building for light industry and can be applied to machines for measuring length of moving, long elastic composite materials in conditions not excepting their slipping or deformation. Device comprises roll unwinding drive, facilities for transportation of material along process measuring path, facilities for reading and processing data on movement of material with correction system for measurement results, which include sensors of presence of moving material and pneumatic transporting drum with encoder, converting turning angle of drum into pulse signals, and digital pressure gauge, switched to processor by means of electronic units for converting data being read. Correcting system for measurement results, considering material slippage relative to pneumatic drum of device, includes additional encoder for reading turning angle of drive carrier roller, wherein both encoders are switched to processor input via electronic unit for processing and transmitting results obtained.

EFFECT: technical result is increased measurement accuracy of composite materials by continuously carried out tracking of material slipping, and continuous correction of measurement results with due allowance for said slipping.
