FIELD: furniture.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to furniture industry, particularly to production of soft furniture that is transformable from a sofa into a bed, and aims at increasing variability of transformation. Sofa transformation mechanism relates to furniture production, particularly to production of soft furniture that is transformable from a sofa into a bed. During the use of the sofa bed, depending on user's needs, the sofa bed can be used for sitting, and, after its transformation, for lying.
EFFECT: disclosed transformation mechanism enables to convert a seat place into place for lying with the movement of armrests and a part of the back in one plane with the main seats with an approximate ratio of the area of the place for sitting to the area of the place for lying of 1:3.
