FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of making load-bearing structure (1) for transporting people, for example, an escalator, in which entire production sequence is divided, at least, three separate assembly stages, which can be performed mainly by means of interconnected, partially or completely automatically working assembly stations (101, 102, 103). Each of assembly stations (101, 102, 103) contains components and machines in the form of at least one holding device (31, 35, 39) and at least one welding robot (33, 37, 41), as well as optionally at least one robot-manipulator (38, 313, 321). Stages of assembly with respect to components and machines used on said assemblies (101, 102, 103) are calculated so that intermediate products can be produced efficiently and accordingly in accordance with the next assembly step at the next assembly station, which can be transmitted successively and with optimized short clock time from one assembly station to another, that at the end of the sequence it is possible to obtain ready bearing structure with load carrying capacity (1).
EFFECT: invention allows simple, fast, reliable, cheap and/or high-accuracy fabrication of bearing structure.
