SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, specifically to a modified tamavidin, and can be used for detection of biotin associated substance. Obtaining modified biotin-binding protein based on tamavidin with sequence SEQ ID NO: 2, which contains up to 7 mutations and asparagine residue in 115 position is replaced with cysteine.
EFFECT: invention increases resistance of biotin-binding protein to heating and processing in dimethyl sulphoxide.
