FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport tests. Method of power plant technical state control includes measurement the work made by the power plant and the fuel spent together with performing rheostat tests. Rheostat tests are performed at loading the power plant using standard testing cyclograms, as a result of which the experimental-and-computed efficiency factor is found. Theoretical calculation of design efficiency is performed using the same test cyclogram that the one used for rheostat tests, efficiency factor of electric traction machines and power consumption for the drive of auxiliary units, but with setting the power and fuel flow rate values as for ICE. Value of the vehicle technical state indicator LEI (Locomotive Energy Index) equal to the ratio of and is found and compared with the minimum LEI value, then the conclusion is made on the railway vehicle power plant technical state.
EFFECT: technical result is ensuring high accuracy of railway vehicle technical state control.
