FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in non-ferrous and ferrous metallurgy, as well as for cleaning of industrial and household wastes. Method of extracting ions of Fe (III) and Cu (II) from aqueous solutions by extraction includes treatment of water solution and contact of water solution with extraction agent. At that, one performs selective extraction of ions from aqueous solution using as the extraction agent a mixture of oleic acid and triethanolamine in kerosene. Extraction is carried out in two stages, first of which is carried out at 3 < pH ≤ 5, ratio of aqueous and organic phases W:O ≤ 7 and temperature t = 40 °C with extraction of Fe (III), and the second stage - 5.5 ≤ pH ≤ 7.5, ratio of aqueous and organic phases 1 < W:O ≤ 4 and temperature t=40 °C with extraction of Cu (II).
EFFECT: efficiency of selective extraction of ions of Fe (III) and Cu (II) from aqueous solutions using a cheap extractant.
