FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: method for selective extraction of Fe (III) and Cu (II) ions from aqueous solutions by extraction with tributyl phosphate involves contacting the extractant and solution, mixing the mixture, settling and separating phases. First, extraction of Fe (III) ions with tributyl phosphate is carried out from an aqueous solution of a mixture of Fe (III) and Cu (II) salts with concentration of 3 n HCl, 240 NaCl g/dm and 60 °C due portion introduction of TBP with minimum time of contact of solution and extractant. Method then includes re-extraction of iron ions from extract with water with precipitation from solution of oxide Fe2O3, and copper is recovered from raffinate using known methods. From the raffinate after extraction of iron with tributyl phosphate copper can be extracted by electrolysis, hydrolytic deposition, in form of copper sulphide, extraction with other extractants. Method provides high selectivity of the process of extracting iron and copper ions from aqueous solutions of their salts.

EFFECT: technical result consists in efficiency of selective extraction of Fe (III) and Cu (II) ions from aqueous solutions.
