FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to image processing techniques. Disclosed is method of determining rectangular area of moving image displayed in part of display area of pixels arranged in it in direction of rows and columns. Method includes step of estimating moving single unit, on which display area is divided into single units, each having predetermined number of pixels, and whether each unit moving single unit incorporating motion. Method includes step of determining moving unit column, on which as unit of column installed is set of single blocks contained in column, including one of upper unit blocks of mentioned single units. If one column unit includes at least one moving unit, said unit is determined as column of moving unit column.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining rectangular area of moving image.
