FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a discharge light source, particularly to an ultraviolet excimer lamp, as well as a system and method for treating a fluid. Ultraviolet excimer lamp comprises two electrodes and several sealed tubes, wherein some of tubes contain excimer gas, tubes are arranged partially between two electrodes, wherein electrodes are not arranged between any of several sealed tubes. System for fluid treatment system comprises a treatment chamber connected to inlet and outlet for a fluid and an excimer gas discharge light source, adapted to radiation exposure to fluid passing through treatment chamber. Method of purifying fluids includes generating light using an excimer gas discharge light source having a wavelength range from 100 nm to 400 nm and illumination of fluid with light.
EFFECT: invention provides simple and cheap design and long-term operation of lamp, as well as effective cleaning of fluids from impurities.
