FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to x-ray equipment. X-ray source for generating x-rays with at least one narrow energy band contains female chamber, first contact configured with first contact surface in female chamber, second contact, assembled with second contact surface in female chamber, and drive assembly, functionally connected to first and/or second contact. Drive assembly has such structure that during operation to provide multiple actuation of contact of first contact surface and second contact surface, and their separation after contact. First contact surface is surface of first triboelectric material, and second contact surface is surface of second triboelectric material, wherein surface of first triboelectric material has negative triboelectric potential relative to surface of second triboelectric material. Second contact contains material, which in its composition contains nuclear element, in which there is excited quantum energy state and which can be excited electrons going from first contact surface to second contact surface so that when switching from excited state to state with lower energy nuclear element emits x-rays, energy of which is at least one narrow energy band. Female chamber has such structure to allow adjustment of ambient atmosphere, in which there are first and second contact surface.

EFFECT: technical result is simplification of x-ray source.
