FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to system of exhaust gases of diesel engines. Method involves passing of exhaust gases through first zone with catalyst of metal/zeolite type, accelerating SCR HC, to produce first gaseous product. First gaseous product is passed through second zone, in which there is catalyst Ag/Al2O3, accelerating H2-accelerating reaction SCR HC to obtain second gaseous product. Second gaseous product is passed through third zone, in which there is noble metal-based catalyst which speeds up SCR CO/H2 to produce end, NOx-depleted, exhaust gases. Mixing of gaseous reformate containing CO and H2, one or more of exhaust gases of first gaseous product and second gaseous product.
EFFECT: use of number of catalysts provides attractive alternative to SCR based on urea, without need for source and reserves of urea.
