FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing ultra-dispersed titanium powder with particle size of 10-2,000 mcm includes supply of titanium tetrachloride in chamber of electric-arc plasmatron with provision of interaction of titanium tetrachloride with stream of hydrogen plasma, cooling and condensation of powder in receiving bin. Supply of titanium tetrachloride in chamber of electric-arc plasmatron is carried out through plasma torch with confuser-diffuser nozzle to allow preset size particles by changing direct current force of plasmatron in range of 100-500 A and consumption of titanium tetrachloride in range of 1-5 g/s.
EFFECT: there is ensured production of powder with maximum output of the specified fraction.
