FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the fine metal powders production from the refractory metals based alloys. Installing the workpiece in the form of consisting of conical and cylindrical parts rod into the loading chamber. Evacuating the loading chamber, melting chamber, spraying chambers and powder collection systems. Separating the loading chamber from the melting chamber by the vacuum gate, and setting the distance between melting and spraying zones from 100 to 300 mm. Positioning the workpiece conical part into the cylindrical one transition zone at a distance of not less than 1 mm above the inductor upper coil. Injecting the inert gas. Bringing the workpiece is into rotation at a speed of 1–20 rpm and lowering into the melting chamber inductor at a speed of 5–150 mm/min, in which melting the workpiece surface layer at temperature of Tmelting+50 – Tmelting+500 °C. Setting the pressure difference between the melting chamber and the spray chamber from 0.01 to 0.035 MPa. Spraying the resulting melt with the inert gas stream through a nozzle in the spray chamber with the powder granules production and their subsequent collection in the powder collection system.
EFFECT: as a result is the production of the high quality metal powders with regular spherical shape , with stable chemical composition without the harmful contaminants introduction, with increase in the proper ones yield.
