FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of arc welding of a t-joint. Bar web is located in the horizontal plane, and the stem is perpendicular to the web. Consumable electrodes are placed on both sides of the t-joint. Electrodes are shifted relative to each other in the direction of welding arcs. Diameter of the front consumable electrode is greater than that of the rear one. Welding arcs are initiated to displace the electrodes in one direction at equal speed. Power of welding arcs on each of the electrodes is controlled separately to obtain identical legs. Displacement between the electrodes is selected to ensure the equal weld penetration of fillet welds.
EFFECT: technical result: even weld penetration of the basic metal of fillet welds with simultaneous double-sided welding of a t-joint at longitudinal displacement of welding arcs, and, consequently, reduced welding stresses and deformations.
