SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, specifically to a method of forming self-expanding stent. Method of forming self-expanding stent includes formation of first end of stent by forming first bend in each of multiple threads, each of which includes a part of thread on both sides of first bending thread, wherein each part of thread has an end. Method then includes braiding parts of thread, each end of parts of thread is located near second end of stent after braiding parts of thread. Method then includes heat treatment of multiple threads during first period of time after braiding parts of thread. Further, method includes forming a second end of stent by forming a second bend of each of multiple threads and heat treatment of multiple threads during a second period of time after forming second bends.

EFFECT: formation of self-expanding stent.
