METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF VISUAL ACUITY AFTER SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF RETINAL DETACHMENT Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61B5/00 A61B3/10

Abstract RU 2593985 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely, to ophthalmology, and can be used for prediction of visual acuity after surgical management of retinal detachment. One estimates the value of electroretinogram b-wave. One measures the diameter of central retinal artery at its outlet from the optic disc. One determines the coefficient of the retina adhesion. One assesses the child's psychomotor development in points. One prognoses the functional outcome of the operation (V) by formula. If V=0.24 and higher, the favourable outcome is predicted. If V=0.23 and below-unfavourable functional outcome is predicted.

EFFECT: method enables accurate and early prediction of functional outcome of surgical management of retinal detachment, as well as enables well-timed treatment and reduction of the time of staying in hospital.
