SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering and is intended for real-time monitoring of accuracy of installation of fuel assemblies in VVER, RBMK nuclear reactor core. Device comprising an optical radiation source, also comprises a reference reflector, which enables to test and calibrate measurement process in absolute values of measured heights. Device is based on optical and electronic equipment, which allow operation in conditions of reactor core, and provides complete automation of measurement process and scanning of loading zone of nuclear reactor.

EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of determining height (elevation marks) of upper platforms of fuel assemblies directly in nuclear reactor by contactless method, faster measurements, increased accuracy and reliability of obtained measurement results.
