FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology, and can be used for treating endothelial-epithelial corneal dystrophy (EECD). Intrastromal corneal pocket is formed in deep layers of the natural substance of cornea, for which at the first stage two tunnel incisions down to deep stromal layers are made at the distance of 1.5 mm from the limb with the width of 1.2 mm at 3 and 9 o'clock, then with a spatula, using both of the tunnel incisions, an intrastromal “pocket” is formed in deep layers of the natural substance of cornea. Into one of the tunnel incisions a collet forceps is introduced by moving it through the split stroma and brought out through the opposite tunnel incision, where with the forceps branches a polymer track membrane folded as a roller is caught made in the form of a disk from polyethylenphthtalate with the diameter of 8.0 mm, the thickness of 7 µm, with pore size of 0.4 µm and the density of 5*106pores/cm2, which is implanted into the intrastromal corneal “pocket” during reverse movement of the forceps. Track membrane is deployed using the spatula, edges of the tunnel incisions are hydrated.
EFFECT: method enables reducing intraoperative injuries.
