FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For the surgical treatment of the advanced stage of keratoconus, an intrastromal pocket is formed with a femtosecond laser in the cornea and a donor corneal implant is implanted into the above intrastromal pocket. Intrastromal pocket with diameter of 8.6–9.0 mm at depth of 115–200 mcm is formed in the optical zone of the cornea. Corneal incision of 4.5–5 mm is made on the edge of the circumference of the pocket on meridian of 90–100 degrees. Donor corneal implant presented in the form of lenticular with dioptres of −9.0 – −10.0 dioptres and diameter of 6.9–7.3 mm, thickness in centre of 180–190 mcm, edge thickness along lenticular circumference 15–25 mcm is implanted in an intrastromal pocket, for which a corneal incision is opened and a lamellar dissection of the intra-stromal pocket is performed. Lenticule is placed in intrastromal pocket in accordance with front and back surfaces, centred in optical zone of cornea in accordance with centre of pupil and spread inside intrastromal pocket.
EFFECT: method improves optical properties of the cornea, simplifies production of the donor corneal implant and implantation thereof in the intrastromal corneal canal, and also reduces the probability of rejection of the donor implant.
