FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cable and electrical industry and is intended for electric railway. During making contact steel aluminium wire the technical result of the invention is achieved by aluminizing steel contact trough part in 1-3 cycles, each of which consists of steel surface heating operations to temperature of 1220±10 K in protective atmosphere for the depth of aluminium penetration into steel, in immersion into the bath with melted aluminium and intensive cooling to temperature of 820±10 K after aluminium melt treatment under a cryolite melt layer, and after the last cycle trough steel part is filled with aluminium melt and forming side surfaces of the trough steel aluminized workpiece with solidificated aluminium for giving contours of contact wire is performed by reduction after crystallization of the aluminium melt.
EFFECT: invention provides high strength of side surfaces of contact wire and improves its operational characteristics.
