FIELD: electroplating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electroplating and can be used to produce products designed for operation at high temperatures. Proposed is a method that includes immersing the article in an alundum container containing an electrolyte in the form of AlF3 based fluoride melt with NaF and/or KF and an anode in the form of an aluminum melt at the bottom of the container, and obtaining a coating, containing aluminum, on the product as a cathode at a temperature of 700–980 °C, wherein the coating is obtained by electrodeposition in a short-circuited galvanic cell formed by the article to be aluminized, fluoride melt and anode, closing of the current leads to the cathode and anode by a metallic conductor shielded by alundum tubes.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a gradient coating based on iron aluminides, which has an increased thermal resistance.
