FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of mechanical engineering and surface steel treatment, particularly it relates to coating of steel details by carbon. There are implemented more than three heating-cooling cycles, consisting of burst heating of electromagnetic radiation pulses up to the temperature higher Ac3 at a rate 1 K/s and cooling up to the temperature lower Ar1 at a rate 1 K/s. Heating is implemented up to the temperature not higher 1220±10 K, and cooling - up to the temperature not higher 950±10 K. Soaking time during heating and cooling is defined by necessary thickness of cementite layer and equitability of carbon in it.
EFFECT: hardening, fortification and endurance increasing of steel details surface.
