FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: procedure for alloying steel with aluminium consists of not less, than three cycles of heating steel parts with pulse packets of electromagnetic radiation in saturating medium above point Ac3 and in successive cooling below point Ar1 at rate of heating and cooling not less, than 1 K/s. Also, heating is performed to temperature as high, as 1220+10K and cooling - to temperature as low, as 820+10K. Duration of conditioning at heating and cooling at extreme temperatures is determined with required depth of aluminium penetration and uniformity of its distribution in steel. For increased rate of saturation treatment is carried out in aluminium melt. Surface of melt is covered with a thin layer of coke or wood coal to prevent its oxidation.
EFFECT: increased rate of alloying steel parts with aluminium.
