FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used for audiometric diagnostics of idiopathic perilymphatic fistulas of the labyrinth. One does audiometric control of sharpness of patient's ear. Determining the initial thresholds of patient's audition through air conductivity at tone scale. Then the patient maximum tightly presses head to the sternum and holds the head in this position for 55-65 seconds. This provides partial squeezing of cervical veins and increasing of voltage of cerebral shells causing increasing of cerebrospinal-fluid pressure at 30-50 mm of water column. Immediately one checks either patient's presence or absence of changes in the thresholds of audition at air conductivity according to tone scale at different frequencies of sound. When patient's threshold audition is 10 DB and more on at least two different frequencies of sound, the patient is diagnosed to with idiopathic perilymphatic fistula of the labyrinth.

EFFECT: method allows to conduct the high-reliability and quick diagnostics of idiopathic perilymphatic fistula of the labyrinth due to creation all the conditions for partial squeezing cervical veins and increase of voltage cerebral shells with increase of cerebrospinal-fluid pressure at 30-50 mm of water column.
