FIELD: medicine; psychology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an infant dentistry and clinical psychology, and can be used for assessment of representations of disabled children from 6 to 12 on prevention of dental diseases. Presented is a stimulus material which consists of 12 questionary color pictures on 12 cards. It is necessary to give a logical answer to the question: what is missing in the picture. Questionary pictures reflect the following thematic units: "Food": a boy with an empty glass in his hand against the background of meadows with a grazing cow; a boy sitting at an empty table and holding a fork with cake; a girl sitting at an empty table and holding a fork with a pear; "Oral hygiene items and products": a toothbrush without bristles; a girl near a wash stand holding a toothpaste in one hand, another hand in free; a girl holding a toothbrush stretching her hand towards an empty shelf with; "Dentition structure": a smile missing front upper teeth; open mouth missing the tongue; crown of a tooth missing the root; "Dental care": a boy with his jaw swollen having a face bandage; a dentist with no tools in his hands; a dentist in his working chair without a dental unit. When a child gives a correct answer himself, the result is appraised as 3 points. Correct answer after 1-3 suggestive questions is appraised as 2 points. At correct answer with help of prompting pictures-answers in one sheet is appraised as 1 point, in case of absence of any correct answer the result appraised as 0 points. By the total score a specialist appraises the level of awareness in each of the thematic units separately, 0-3 points means a low level of awareness of the child on prevention of dental diseases, 4-6 points show an average level of awareness, 7-9 points - a high level of awareness.
EFFECT: method enables differentiated assessment of the level of awareness of children in thematic units and organise further interaction with the child due to detection of his knowledge on food, oral hygiene items and products, dentition structure and dental care.
