SUBSTANCE: invention refers to psychology, namely methods of psychological adaptation of children to stress factors, particularly in dentistry. It involves a number of sessions using stage-by-stage pictorial therapy and directed game correction, formation of a confidential contact of a doctor and a child. A dental oral examination involves game correction and colouring and drawing tasks for situational and personal anxiety test to implement child's adaptation to stress factors of dental treatment; that is followed by preventive or dental treatment to the extent of age and teeth state depending on an adaptation level and levels of situational and personal anxiety. The therapy is terminated by an art therapy session consisting in creation of a new drawing or finishing of a previous drawing with a parallel positive rating of child's behaviour and giving of a gift as an encouragement. The adaptation level of the patient child to the stress factor is assessed by an adaptation scale to dental stress factors.
EFFECT: method provides emotional adaptation of the child to the stress factors immediately before and during dental treatment.
