SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in mobile communication networks. For this purpose the base station transmits data to multiple mobile terminals and receives data from multiple mobile terminals on several subcarriers of system with orthogonal frequency division multiplex (further - OFDM subcarriers) in the area of the base station service. Base station appoints communication resources provided by the first group of several OFDM subcarriers in the first frequency range to mobile terminals of the first type and appoints communication resources provided by the second group of several OFDM subcarriers in the second frequency range to terminals of the second type, the second group is less than the first group, and the second frequency range is chosen within the first frequency range. Base station transmits the information including information on appointment of resources for terminals of the first type in the first band corresponding to the combined first and second groups of OFDM subcarriers and transmits control information containing information on appointment of resources for terminals of the second type in the second band corresponding to the second group of OFDM subcarriers.

EFFECT: increasing transmission capacity.
