SUBSTANCE: user terminal for a mobile communication system, which employs a multiple carrier scheme, includes a control signal generating unit which generates a control signal and a transmission unit which transmits the control signal to a base station. The control signal is mapped to multiple frequency bands which are provided on the entire subframe but are discrete in the frequency domain. Each frequency band includes subcarriers used in an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) scheme.
