SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to use of fullerene derivatives in optoelectronic devices such as photovoltaic cells of formula (I): X-F-(Z-Y-M)r (I), where F is [60]fullerene or [70]fullerene, M is a COOH, r is an integer from 2 to 8, Z is a group -(CH2)n-, Ar, or -S-, n is an integer from 1 to 12, Y represents aliphatic C1-C12 carbon chain, Ar is phenyl, biphenyl or naphthyl and X is H, Cl or C1-C12 carbon chain independent from Y.

EFFECT: proposed is a new application of said compounds in electron-selective buffer layer organic photovoltaic cell, making it possible to increase efficiency of solar batteries.
