FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to techniques for medical image visualization. Disclosed is a computer-aided method of identifying and reducing distortions when viewing images. Method includes displaying at least some data: projection data or reconstructed image data with visually observable artifacts. At that, at least some of the projection data or the reconstructed image data corresponds to an imaging examination of an object or subject. Then sample images with known artifacts are displayed, simultaneously with the at least some of the projection data or the reconstructed image data.
EFFECT: to reduce visible distortions when viewing images.
