FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to navigation for medical images. Such a result is achieved by enabling switching from a static viewing mode to a navigation mode based on navigation commands received from the user input device, which is configured to be controlled by the user, the display processor is configured to generate in the static viewing mode an output image, containing one image of cut from set of images of sections and further configured to replace in navigation mode said one cut image in the output image by volumetric rendering of the image volume unit, wherein unit comprises more than one cut image.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling navigation in interactive mode on a set of sections images.
