FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, particularly to laboratory analysis, in particular, to methods of analysis of biocompatibility of metal materials, products and implants. As well as articles produced during development of mining production technologies, including various methods of passivation of metal surfaces of ready products for medical purposes. Method of express evaluation of biocompatibility of metals and their alloys according to P. N. Pilipenko consists of tested material sample preparation and testing medium, placing sample in testing medium, incubation at specified temperature and determining change in concentration of hydrogen peroxide in testing medium, which characterises degree of biocompatibility of sample. Degree of biocompatibility is calculated by formula V=-lg(VΔC/Sτ)-8, where V is volume of buffer solution (l); ΔC is change in concentration of hydrogen peroxide in buffer solution (mol/l); S is area of sample surface (cm2); τ is incubation time (min).

EFFECT: proposed method allows to increase speed of determining biocompatibility of analysed implanted metal materials at simultaneous availability for use in institutions of practical health of any level for quality control of metal implants, used in orthopaedic, surgical, dental and other medical practices.
