FIELD: medical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for electroexplosive spraying of a bioinert molybdenum coating on implants made of titanium alloys and can be used in medical technology, in traumatology and orthopedics. The method includes an electric explosion of a molybdenum foil weighing 50-500 mg, the formation of a pulsed multiphase plasma jet from the explosion products, its melting of the titanium alloy implant surface at an absorbed power density of 1.5-1.8 GW/m2, deposition of explosion products on the surface and the formation of a molybdenum-based bioinert coating on it.
EFFECT: as a result, a surface layer with high adhesion of the coating with a titanium alloy substrate, low roughness and homogenized structure is formed, which has an antibacterial effect, which increases the service life of implants and expands the scope of practical application.
