FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for audio pre-compensation using alternating supporting set of loudspeakers. Method includes determining an audio pre-compensation controller for an associated sound generating system comprising N loudspeakers. Audio pre-compensation controller has a number L of inputs for L input signals and N outputs for N controller output signals, one per each loudspeaker. Method includes estimating, for each subset of N loudspeaker inputs, an impulse response at each measurement position. Method includes specifying, for each one of L input signals, a selected one of N loudspeakers as a primary loudspeaker and a selected subset S including at least one of N loudspeakers as support loudspeaker. Method includes specifying, for each primary loudspeaker, a target impulse response at each measurement position with target impulse response having an acoustic propagation delay.
EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility of extended pre-compensation to increase quality of reproducing stereo or multi-channel audio material in two or more loudspeakers.
