FIELD: printing.
SUBSTANCE: protective element for fabrication of security documents, such as banknotes, cheques, comprises top side, which provides several microimages. Each microimage is formed by the structure of microcavities, which has a lot of microcavities placed next to each other. Structure of the microcavities is optically reflective or has high refraction index. For each microImage there are microcavities of the first and second type, which differ in terms of ratio of microcavities, resulting in each microimage being structured by means of at least two different types of microcavities.
EFFECT: high degree of counterfeit protection due to usage of a large number of parts.
