FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: refractory material for lining of blast furnace is obtained by method including following steps: a) making mixture containing coke, silicon and binding material, b) moulding of unfired unit from mixture made at step (a), c) annealing of unfired unit made at step (b) and d) partial graphitisation of burnt unit made at step (c), at temperature from 1,600 to 2,000 °C.

EFFECT: technical result of invention is obtaining material with high mechanical strength and resistance to dissolution in hot metal and slag.
