FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing hyperbranched polyesters. Described is a method of producing hyperbranched polyesters with degree of branching of 45-90% and characteristic viscosity 0.02-0.1 dl/g, where said method includes steps of: (a) contacting polyol with polycarboxylic acid in presence of bimetallic cyanide catalyst, having chemical formula Zn3M2(CN)n(ROH). xZnCl2.yH2O, where R is tert-butyl; M is a transition metal selected from a group consisting of Fe and Co, x is 0-0.5, y is 3-5, n equals 10 or 12, wherein molar ratio of polyol to polycarboxylic acid is 1:1-1:2, and content of catalyst is 2-5 % with respect to weight of reagents; (b) treatment of reaction mixture obtained at step (a) at a temperature of 160-200 °C and for 0.5-2 h to produce polyesters; (c) dissolution of reaction mixture obtained at step (b), in a polar solvent, such as acetone, and separation of catalyst by filtering; (d) adding a non-polar solvent, such as heptane, to reaction mixture obtained at step (c), for deposition and separation of hyperbranched polyesters.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining hyperbranched polyesters with low viscosity, high degree of branching.
