SUBSTANCE: invention encompasses a group of inventions: a method for producing a high molecular weight polyether carbonate, a polymerization system for the copolymerization of carbon dioxide and epoxide, a high molecular weight simple polyester carbonate. This method involves the reaction of carbon dioxide and epoxide in the presence of a double-metal cyanide catalyst (DMC catalyst) and a catalyst with formula (I), where the catalyst with formula (I) has the following structure:
The polymerization system contains a catalyst with formula (I) and a DMC catalyst. The high molecular weight polyether carbonate has the following formula:
EFFECT: development of a catalytic system for changing the amount of ether and carbonate bonds at lower pressures (< 20 bar) in order to control the properties of the resulting polymer and obtain a range of different products for different markets.
