FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method relates to nuclear power plants (NPP). Procedure of nuclear power plant construction with underground arrangement of nuclear reactor includes placement of a nuclear reactor in the underground well. Reactor is installed on insulating concrete floor of safety chamber. Gas outlet pipe with filter-locking device is installed in the shaft. Shaft has two mechanical drives for emergency opening of safety chamber, with filling, which absorbs radionuclides volume of which exceeds the volume of production well. Engine compartment is arranged outside the zone of the shaft and communication corridor.

EFFECT: technical result is safety of engine room during accident in shaft, prevention of radioactive contamination spreading from the well.
