FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods of construction of nuclear power plants. The turbine room is located on the ground surface. The nuclear reactor is lowered under the ground into an insulated reinforced concrete vertical pit shaft. A refuelling crane is installed inside the pit shaft. The pit shaft is closed with a safety slab with a gas discharge pipe providing for release of gases accumulated inside the shaft. A communications isolated corridor is built for supply of communications that connect the nuclear reactor and the turbine room of the power plant.
EFFECT: lower risk of radioactive elements discharge into atmosphere and contamination of environment.
