METHOD FOR GENERATING MOTORIC AUTOMATISM IN CHILDREN DURING EARLY POSTNATAL PERIOD SUFFERING FROM SPINAL CORD CONDITION AT THE NECK LEVEL Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61H7/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, rehabilitation treatment, can be used for recovery of motoric automatism in infants suffering from spinal cord pathology at the neck level. Asymmetric cervical-tonic reflex by turning the head of baby to the side is produced in children in the early postnatal period with the given pathology. Skin is irritated by nerve-point pressing action along the spine, successively from C₇ to L₅ on paravertebral lines at the level of spinous processes at the side into which the child's head is turned. After the nerve-point of action stroke action is applied along the spine from the top to bottom ending on the rear top spine of iliac bone. Child's leg on the side of the action is held at first outstretched, and at the completion of the stroke action the leg is moved to the side along which the action is performed. Then child's head is turned to the other side and the action is repeated from the other side. Treatment is performed 3-5 times a day for 2-3 weeks, if necessary until occurence of the lower abdominal periosteal reflexa reflex.

EFFECT: method provides segment-wise formation of activity of the whole spinal cord both along the longitudinal axis and transverse axis, formation of motoric automatism, potentiation of lower abdominal periosteal reflexa reflex, including in children with severe hypotonia, at early stages.
